Thoughts before vacation….
Just trying to finish some stuff up before I attempt the drive to Myrtle Beach for our first family vacation. We need to get the temperatures up there a little more! Going with the Giardini’s and Blocher! Pray for us!
Today starts the Masters and if you can’t find it on tv (or want to watch Amen Corner) go to the Master’s Website. We all know Blocher is planning the driving time around the Masters Schedule.
I’m still trying to figure out Second Life (yesterday they were working on it). I think I’ve completed Orientation Island and tried to go to Help Island, then I’m not sure, maybe Remediation Island (I think that’s stated on my IEP, I’ll have to ask Jen). I will be trying to work on the wiki for the administrative workshop help by Mansell Wells at the WNYRIC in Allegany Fri. April 25th and hope to re-introduce myself to Mansell today. I did go to Fillmore and completed their Day 3. We did discuss many items with Podcasting, Voicethreads and Animoto, however, they were all working on their own and by their comments, the big hit was del.icio.us. I have been showing this, but have no comparison with Diigo because I haven’t played around in there enough yet, even though Diigo is all over Twitter lately.
I will enjoy my trip, but once I’m back, I’ll be into preparing for work with the WNY-PLP and going to visit the Randolph Cardinals who are really good with these Web 2.0 topics, I’m sure I’ll learn alot. I will be going to show off the Smart Airliner at Portville and then out to Scio to work with Web 2.0 stuff with some of their Science teachers. The Admin workshop is that Friday and I’ll try to help anyway I can there, then to end April, I’ll have 2 Tech Connect workshops at Hinsdale and Catt-LV.
May will start with a bang with the guys trip to BLACK LAKE! The trip where you wear yourself down to nothing and somehow come back and feel recharged…..somehow that makes sense!
