NECC 2008
Looking forward to my first National Conference. I was trying to find a good way to use a Voicethread together so people could respond to the schedule and talk about what workshops/seminars they were going to. Then I realized that will be difficult with the INCREDIBLE number of things being offered. How to fit it all on a screen? I have tried to stay active in the NECC Ning.
I did play with Poll Everywhere and am sending this out for feedback on what people are looking for this next week at NECC.

I will arrive Sunday around noon with some CA BOCES colleagues and then more from CA BOCES come later on Sunday. I can’t wait! I want to help my new district (will blog more about this in July) find great technology for their science department labs: ex: microscopes or anything to help improve their science fari. They are really trying to improve the technology throughout the whole school, other things they would like more information on are: sound amplification and voice recognition for computers, more ideas for SMARTBoards (I do belong to another Ning group: http://smartboardrevolution.ning.com/ that will hopefully help me out a great deal). Other items they wanted more info on would be GarageBand and podcasting with iPods for Special Ed department, some teachers want more work with Photo Story and Adobe Photoshop (I’ve never used) for Advanced Art. Oh yeah, and updating Finale software (Another thing I need to look into….recording with microphone).
Personally, I’m really looking forward to meeting face to face with many of my Twitter/Ning/blog friends, to increase my network and to come back rejuvinated and ready to put some new fresh ideas out there for all of our school districts.
