NECC 2008 Day 2
I was going to start off the day at the Hyatt about integrating technology into the curriculum, but the presenter never showed (they didn’t show for Rick Weinberg’s either). I then headed over to HGCC 103A to hear David Jakes and Dean Shareski’s presentation for 11:00 on using PowerPoint. It gave me a chance to charge my battery as well, so I’ll sit here for an hour and a half (it’s shorter than I sat on the plane!)
Everything is on David Jakes site:

Very interesting session that reinforced some basic PowerPoint tips that I’ve used and forgotten, plus showed me a few more. I liked the responsibilities they talked about with students using Flickr and FlickrStorm to upload pictures that students could choose from that are allowed to be used through Creative Commons. Again, everyone needs to hear about giving credit to those things taken. Just because something is up there doesn’t mean you can use it! I for one also tend to “OverWord” my presentations on PowerPoint and have to rethink how I create them and show teachers how to use them! All of this is also on
Having major problems with Twitter being able to load! Then lost my wifi during their session, so no CoverItLive!
Here’s another thing that David Jakes brought up. Look to add pictures and visuals!!!!
Guess What I don’t have on this blog post!?!?!
Bad Carls, bad!
